You want your camping tent brooder to have good ventilation (at least one wall with a decent amount of mesh), and you want it to be large enough.

Your growing chicks will prefer more space to less. Here are 3 great options for camping tent brooders.

Why would you want a camping tent brooder?

The 4-person camping tent

Currently, I’m brooding my chicks in this 4-person Ozark Trail Camping Tent. You can see a photo of it at the top of this article.

This tent isn’t always in stock on Amazon and the price fluctuates a lot, so you can also check Walmart. I paid around $35 for mine in 2021.

The 6-person camping tent

This 6-person Ozark Trail Camping Tent is a larger version of the 4-person tent above. I actually did buy this tent this year too, but ultimately, I went with the smaller 4-person tent for my brooder (which I now regret—bigger IS better for chick brooders). I paid around $65 for this tent in 2021.

This tent isn’t always in stock on Amazon and the price fluctuates, so be sure to check out Walmart too.

The 2-person camping tent (low-price option)

Wakeman 2-Person Camping Tent

WESTHL 2-Person Camping Tent

The tents above are a couple of options for smaller 2-person camping tent brooders. These tents are in the approximately $15-$20 range.

I haven’t purchased either of these tents, but these were two low-price options I found on Amazon with decent ventilation—the Wakeman 2-Person Camping Tent and the WESTHL 2-Person Camping Tent.

Bonus: The luxury option

Here it is, the luxury option—the Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent with 3 rooms!

I’m sure I sound like a crazy person (what’s new?), but believe me, if I can find the space in my house for a 10-person tent with multiple rooms, this is what I’ll use the next time I brood chicks.

If you want to join me on the crazy train and get a 10-person, multi-room tent for your chicks, be sure to check Walmart before purchasing. I found something very similar to the tent pictured above in my local store for about half the price of what you’re seeing on Amazon.
