Chick puppets
Puppets are completely optional for raising chicks. You definitely don’t need to buy any puppets. But I do like to use puppets for imprinting and for training chicks to eat and drink.

Finger-puppet used for training chicks to eat and drink
I used the Archie McPhee Rubber Chicken Finger Puppet from Amazon, which is no longer available (at the time I’m writing this). However, this rubber chicken toy is similar and could be used in a similar fashion, though not a finger puppet.
